First-Ever Self-Driving Electric Scooter Unveiled in Pakistan

EVEE has showcased the S1 Air Self Drive at PAPS 2026, presenting an experimental version of its existing electric scooter that can move and remain balanced without a rider controlling it.
The prototype is based on the regular EVEE S1 Air but adds dedicated motorised hardware and a control system for self-driving and balancing functions.
EVEE says the technology is still in the research and development phase, with no confirmed launch date or price.
The company also claims that the model would become Pakistan’s first self-driving electric scooter if it eventually reaches production.
The S1 Air Self Drive uses the same basic platform as the standard S1 Air, with the key difference being the additional hardware required for autonomous movement and balancing.
The regular S1 Air uses a 2,200W motor, offers a claimed 90–110km range, and has a top speed of around 65–70 km/h.
It uses a 76.8V 32Ah Phylion lithium battery.
The regular EVEE S1 Air Lithium is currently priced at Rs. 319,900.
The main addition is the self-driving system, supported by additional motor hardware that lets the scooter move independently during demonstrations.
The balancing system also lets the scooter stay upright while operating without a rider.
EVEE has not yet disclosed the complete sensor setup, control software, or final hardware architecture behind the system.
That means the S1 Air Self Drive should currently be viewed as a development-stage prototype rather than a production-ready scooter.
EVEE has not announced when, or if, the self-driving version of the S1 Air will reach showrooms.
There is also no confirmed commercial price.
The company says it is still testing the concept and evaluating the technology before deciding on a possible production version.
For now, the S1 Air Self Drive serves as a preview of the technologies EVEE is experimenting with for future electric two-wheelers.
EVEE also displayed a Gen-Z Pro fitted with a side seat at PAPS 2026.
Rather than introducing a new powertrain, the modified version demonstrates how the company’s existing electric scooter platforms can be adapted for different use cases.
