Teenager Uses AI to Poison His Father
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Punjab has arrested a 17-year-old student in Bahawalpur for attempting to poison his father by using artificial intelligence (AI) to prepare the poison.
According to the information released by the NCCIA, the teenager was arrested following intelligence received from abroad. The agency said Director NCCIA Punjab Husam bin Iqbal ordered immediate action in the case.
Investigators uncovered a lab set up by the teenager at his home. They said he was influenced by the popular TV show 'Breaking Bad' and used the setup to prepare poisonous substances.
The NCCIA said the teenager obtained chemical materials from Australia and Islamabad and used them to prepare the poison.
The suspect allegedly made an initial unsuccessful attempt to poison his father. After the attempt failed, he turned to an AI system again for further guidance.
NCCIA said the investigation is continuing.
