PFA Seals KFC Outlet on Major Motorway

The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) has sealed a KFC outlet at the Sukheki Motorway Service Area after inspectors uncovered multiple food safety and hygiene violations during a surprise inspection.

The operation was carried out under Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz's "Safe Food" initiative, which has intensified inspections of restaurants and food outlets across the province.

According to the PFA, the outlet was found using substandard food items, unfiltered water, and maintaining food in unhygienic conditions. Officials said the inspection also revealed violations of prescribed food quality and safety standards.

The authority immediately sealed the restaurant and imposed a hefty fine. The outlet will remain closed until it fully complies with Punjab Food Authority regulations and receives clearance from inspectors.

The PFA reiterated that ensuring safe and hygienic food for the public remains its top priority and warned food businesses to strictly follow health and safety standards or face legal action.
