iPhone 18 Series Prices Leak Before Apple’s Event

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone at an event on September 9, which will be John Ternus’ first Apple event as CEO.
The standard iPhone 18 is expected to arrive next year instead. Based on unconfirmed information, the new models announced on Wednesday could open for pre-orders two days later on Friday.
Apple’s first foldable, tentatively called the iPhone Ultra, was briefly listed on Vodafone Egypt’s website before the page was removed.
Comparing the leaked listing with the existing iPhone 17 Pro Max price suggests that the foldable could cost around 65% more than Apple’s current top-end iPhone.
Applying that increase to the iPhone 17 Pro Max’s original $1,200 launch price suggests a possible starting price of around $1,980 for the iPhone Ultra.
However, prices vary between countries because of taxes and other factors, so the calculation does not confirm Apple’s final US price.
For comparison, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold8 at $1,900 in the US. Since the iPhone Ultra is also expected to use a wide foldable design, the two devices could be priced relatively close.
A separate pricing leak from X user @ev_downunder points to an increase of around 68% for the base iPhone Ultra compared with the 256GB iPhone 17 Pro Max in Australia.
That is close to the 65% difference indicated by the Vodafone Egypt listing.
Based on both leaks and Apple’s tendency to use rounded pricing, the base iPhone Ultra could therefore launch at around $2,000.
Just confirmed with Vodafone Australia that the iPhone Fold will be available to pre-order on 12 Sep 2026!

The Vodafone listing also reportedly showed higher prices for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Compared with the current models, the leaked figures suggest an increase of around 10% for the iPhone 18 Pro and 11% for the Pro Max.
Using a roughly 10% increase, the iPhone 18 Pro could start at around $1,210, compared with the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,100 launch price.
Applying the same increase to the iPhone 17 Pro Max suggests a starting price of approximately $1,320, up from $1,200 for its predecessor.
TrendForce previously estimated that the bill of materials for the iPhone 18 Pro could be around 40% higher than for the iPhone 17 Pro.
The analysts estimated that the 256GB iPhone 18 Pro could cost $1,400, meaning a price closer to $1,200 would come in below that projection.
For now, all of these figures remain estimates based on leaks and existing pricing. Apple is expected to reveal the official prices at its September 9 event.
