IESCO Announces Power Outages in Islamabad on Friday
The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) has announced a power suspension schedule for Friday on several feeders in Islamabad due to ongoing development work by the district administration.
According to an IESCO spokesperson, the affected feeders and adjoining areas will experience power outages from 8 a.m. to noon. The shutdowns will allow authorities to shift electricity poles and other power installations linked to development projects.
The affected feeders include Punjab House, Bari Imam, Pir Sohawa, Saidpur, Islamabad Club-1, Islamabad Club-2, Mahfooz Shaheed/Shehzad Town, Filtration Plant, Pindorian Scheme-2, Orchard Scheme and CDA Pump.
IESCO said the work involves several development projects, including flyover and underpass construction, new 11kV feeder installations, road widening and other related activities. The company apologized to consumers for the temporary disruption.
